Who is this for?

PRIVATE CLIENT is ideal for individuals, family offices, or small-medium sized businesses flying 20-75 hours a year that prefer a more tailored approach to arranging flights and want to take advantage of DIRECT WHOLESALE pricing. On average, these flyers spend $100K-$300K+ annually and utilize various aircraft types.

Most clients have flown charter for years using different brokers, apps, or local operators but are tired of trying to keep up with the constantly changing landscape. They prefer a personalized approach working with a trusted advisor to help navigate the space and offer significant cost savings. Others have come from jet card programs or are winding down their hours and have more flexibility with their travel. PRIVATE CLIENT is also a great complimentary service to work alongside an existing solution such as a jet card or fractional share to offer more operational and pricing flexibility. We believe that having 2-3 solutions in this marketplace provides the most value and PRIVATE CLIENT should be one of them as it offers a truly unique service and competitive pricing edge.

Who is this NOT for?

PRIVATE CLIENT is tailored for individuals seeking a customized, advisory-led private aviation solution.  Here are the cases when someone may NOT be a fit:

1.      Infrequent Flyers: PRIVATE CLIENT is designed for frequent travelers where the service cost is  minimal relative to travel volume. For the infrequent flyer taking 2-3 small trips a year, they may not fully benefit from the service and perhaps on demand charter makes more sense.

2.      Price-Focused Flyers: Those who prioritize the lowest price possible over service quality or customization may find PRIVATE CLIENT’s premium approach unnecessary. This boutique and personalized service caters to clientele who believe that service quality aligns with investment.

3.      Whole or Fractional Ownership Seekers: For those interested in whole or fractional aircraft ownership without a need for additional travel support, PRIVATE CLIENT may not be as beneficial. However, if these individuals do need supplemental lift anywhere from 20-50 hours a year, then yes, PRIVATE CLIENT could be of great value.

4.      Self-Booking Travelers: If you enjoy gathering quotes, comparing options, sourcing flights, and coordinating services all by yourself, then this service may be more hands-on than needed. PRIVATE CLIENT is for those who prefer a dedicated advisor to manage their full travel logistics.

5.      Large-Scale Organizational Consulting Needs: PRIVATE CLIENT does not currently offer services in corporate flight department or fleet planning, Part 91 or Part 135 organizational development, contract fuel consulting, or ACMI leasing.

Frequently Asked Questions

01

What makes The Jet Merchants different from a charter broker?

The Jet Merchants operate as a transparent, fee-based charter advisory and consulting firm, not a markup-driven broker.

In exchange for our fee, clients benefit from our industry expertise, strong relationships, and direct wholesale pricing with operators, selecting the best aircraft for each trip with no surprises. Traditional brokers source flights with a "buy low, sell high" approach, adding an average markup of 15-30%, and more when possible. Based on spending $300K a year, those markups have the potential to cost flyers $40K-$80K in broker commissions annually, especially when flying international or on large cabin jets. By using a broker, you may be missing out on accessing the broader spectrum of premium providers.

With The Jet Merchants, there’s no commission-driven sourcing; instead, we provide unbiased, full-time support and make recommendations across various providers and different private aviation services, including jet cards and memberships, to ensure our clients receive the best value for their needs.

02

I already have a jet card, what value can you offer me?

Many of our clients have jet cards or membership programs and benefit from integrating PRIVATE CLIENT for additional flexibility.

Here’s how:

1) Guidance on Optimal Use: We provide real-time market insights to help decide when to use your jet card versus chartering independently—such as when evaluating peak-day costs, avoiding fuel stops, or selecting the best aircraft for specific trips.

2) Proactive Planning: Instead of waiting until card hours are depleted, we monitor your travel patterns early, helping prepare for future needs by tracking flight data and assessing market options in advance.

3) Enhancing Flexibility: We seek potential savings, discounted upgrades, and backup options to cover gaps where jet card providers may have limitations.

Bottom line, PRIVATE CLIENT offers trusted advisory support that maximizes savings, identifies upgrade opportunities, and ensures you have reliable options if your program encounters service issues.

03

Why Choose an Advisory Model Over a Traditional Brokerage?

The broker model for private aviation has been around for a long time and remains a viable option for certain flyers, particularly those taking 1-2 charter trips a year. While some broker firms are highly experienced, smaller firms may have part-time brokers lacking operational expertise, which can lead to service challenges. Extra due diligence is essential when comparing brokers.

Frequent flyers seeking a personalized, boutique approach focused on transparency and value are drawn to our advisory model. Our fee-based structure ensures 100% alignment with clients, creating a frictionless, trust-based relationship. With The Jet Merchants, you save time and avoid the hassle of shopping for flights or dealing with endless marketing calls.Bottom line: brokers focus on transactions and commissions per trip, while we prioritize client relationships through a transparent fee-based structure that delivers ongoing value. The brokerage model isn’t bad—it’s just different. Consumers have the freedom to choose the model and support that best fits their needs.

04

How much money can you really save me?

Will we save you money? Yes.

How much? That depends on various factors. The more you fly, the more potential for deep savings, especially when traveling on larger aircraft. Your personal preferences and level of flexibility will also dictate savings. But that's not our only focus, we want individuals and businesses to enjoy the flying experience, the ease of transaction, and actually look forward to booking flights working with an expert advisor.

05

Can I find a lower priced charter flight on my own?

If someone's motivated enough, anything is possible. So yes, there's a chance you can find a lower priced option on your own, but we advise against that being how you choose a provider.

We prioritize a high standard of aircraft quality, operator experience, customer service, and safety. We don’t cut corners or recommend operators purely based on the lowest price. Again, if someone's main goal is to find the absolute cheapest option, no matter what, then we might not be the right fit—and we’ll communicate that upfront.

In our initial discovery call, we’ll go over expectations, quality standards, and explain why we don’t utilize every available aircraft in the marketplace. Our process involves leveraging our experience to mitigate potential issues, setting each flight up for success. We gather options, make recommendations based on various factors, and allow you to make the final decision. Private aviation is about safety and service, and we provide a premium experience that aligns with those values.
